About

I’m a staff photojournalist at The Gazette in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Minneapolis. After graduating high school I moved to Missoula, Montana to study journalism.

Over the last seven years, I’ve lived, worked and traveled throughout the American West. I’ve fallen in love with the jagged mountains, ice-cold streams and array of red rocks that create the landscapes here. As a storyteller, the intersection of urban and rural lifestyles, abundance of natural resources and crises surrounding them draw me in. I’m interested in exploring environmental sustainability, and I want to use my skills as photojournalist to give a platform to underrepresented stories, to help elevate the voices of people who have been marginalized or mistreated.

Prior to freelancing I worked at an intern at the Missoula Independent (Missoula, Montana), the Missoulian (Missoula, Montana), The Gazette (Colorado Springs, Colorado) and as a staff photojournalist at the Monterey County Weekly (Monterey, California)

I’m a hiker and lover of all things outdoors. My dog Nera is my best pal and comes on almost all of my adventures with me.
